About the Paladin

The Paladin is a pillar of support and a very well-rounded class, particularly with regards to defensive might. She carries a shield and one-handed sword, but her powers extend far beyond her melee attack capabilities. With extensive healing powers and the ability to block harmful spells, the Paladin’s stamina on the battlefield is unmatched. Her facility in manipulating the attack focus of enemies would certainly prove useful in allowing allies to rest and recover before taking on more foes. The Paladin is also a very effective class when it comes to dealing with strong Undead, as her holy energy-enchanted blade reduces them very quickly to dust. Attired in protective metal armor against both physical and magical strikes, the Paladin charges triumphantly into battle with the Goddess Oblivion’s powers strengthening her soul.

Defense Calculation

The Defense vs. Damage taken calculation is 8:1, so for every 8 points of Def, you take one less point of damage. (800 points of Def=100 damage negated.) At endgame levels such as 45+ people tend to place more importance on HP rather than pure Def for this reason, as you are being hit for thousands of damage versus hundreds.

Abilities Failing With Auto-attack Enabled

While tanking monsters, if auto-attack is enabled, sometimes skills will fail to trigger; this can be remedied by holding down the hot-key instead of tapping it. Another solution is to remove auto-attack altogether, which completely fixes this.

  • Provoke does not affect monsters within a 4m radius of the player as stated if an enemy is targeted, instead, as long as the enemy is in
    range, it provokes everything within 4m of that enemy including the enemy itself. If the enemy is not in range, the skill usually misses completely.
